What it does
It reads your exports. And changes nothing in your accounts.
You bring: The ad-level Ad Performance export for the last 30 days (daily rows if you want before-and-after readings), plus earlier months for a trend. How you mark stage and format in ad set names (for example S01 for cold, TLA-VID and TLA-SI for thought leader ads). The actions your retargeting audiences use per ad type, if different from the defaults. A list of dated changes: new creative, bid, budget, targeting. Optional: actual retargeting audience sizes and last run’s history table.
You get back: The data check, cost per retargetable member by ad type and objective, then by ad set and ad with its band and a volume check, where the cost is too high and the question to ask, the monthly trend, before and after each change, up to 8 recommendations, and a history table to paste into the next run.
The prompt
Paste it into your AI. Attach your exports first. It reads them and changes nothing
Load the Cost Per Retargetable Member skill from https://github.com/demandsense-labs/linkedin-ads-skills/tree/main/cost-per-retargetable-member and run it on the exports I’ve attached. Rather not paste it? Install it instead
Add it to Claude Code once and call it by name on any export

The rules it applies.
-
From signal to sales Weekly
Warm-lead handoff
Turns engagement from LinkedIn ads, the website and the CRM into a short list of who sales should call this week.
-
Building the account Daily to monthly
Account audit by cadence
Runs eight account checks on a schedule, so a LinkedIn Ads specialist knows what to fix today, this week and this month.
-
Who the budget reaches Weekly + monthly
Targeting vs who actually buys
Compares who each campaign paid to reach with the people on your deals, and moves budget toward the profiles that buy.
-
Who the budget reaches Every 1 to 2 weeks
Company-level account routing
Shows which companies take most of the impressions, which are underserved, and which to prioritize or move into their own audience.
-
Who the budget reaches Daily, then weekly
LinkedIn fit gate + daily fit check
Grades a prospecting campaign by the companies it actually reached against your ICP, then says pass, run one more week, or rebuild. Runs daily after launch to catch new fails and leaked exclusions.
-
From signal to sales Weekly + monthly
Signal loop
Runs the weekly routine for LinkedIn ads that go only to a list of named target companies, so a person knows which companies to write to this week and why now. It never sends or changes anything.
-
From signal to sales On demand
Turn social signals into pipeline
Turns people who engaged with LinkedIn posts (a competitor’s, a topic’s, or your own company page’s) into two company-level lists: companies for sales review and companies for nurture. It sends nothing and looks no one up.
-
Ads and creative Weekly
Weekly check for conversion campaigns
Judges every Lead Gen Form and Message ad against your goal cost per lead: which ads to pause, which winners to copy into new versions, and what to check when every ad in an ad set is expensive. It gives recommendations to approve and changes nothing.
-
Building the account Once, days 7 to 14
LinkedIn Campaign Early Read
A first read on one LinkedIn campaign 7 to 14 days after launch, before conversions exist: is it delivering as expected, is it reaching the right companies and people, who is engaging with the ads and on your site, and which accounts are worth acting on now. It only recommends and changes nothing.
- Rule 09Building the account Count an audience as warm only once it's big enough to serve ads Traffic and followers only count once they're in a matched audience big enough to run. 1 skill
- Rule 10Building the account Spend on warm audiences before cold ones A colder audience earns budget once the warmer ones reach their frequency range. 1 skill
- Rule 15Ads and creative Judge cold ads by the warm audience they build A cold ad's real output is the people who engage with it, because they become your retargeting audience. Leads from cold are a bonus. 1 skill
- Rule 01Reach and frequency Read frequency and penetration together One number alone doesn't tell you what to fix. 3 scenarios1 skill
- Rule 02Reach and frequency Set separate frequency targets for cold and warm audiences Cold audiences run low and wide. Warm audiences need repetition. 1 scenario1 skill
- Rule 03Ads and creative Call it fatigue only when frequency is high and CTR keeps falling Either signal on its own isn't fatigue. 2 skills
- Rule 04Reach and frequency Judge Text, Spotlight and Follower ads on reach and CPM, not CTR These formats are there for efficient visibility, so clicks are the wrong measure. 2 skills
- Rule 05Who the budget reaches Split campaigns only when one segment clearly outperforms the rest A segment earns its own campaign by performing two to three times better or worse than the rest.
- Rule 06Who the budget reaches Watch for budget drifting to junior roles Junior roles click more and cost less, so a campaign with mixed seniorities slowly shifts its budget to them.
- Rule 07Who the budget reaches To exclude SDRs, exclude Sales, not Business Development Excluding Business Development to remove SDRs removes the decision-makers too.
- Rule 08Who the budget reaches Check every month who your ads actually reach Campaign totals don't show who the budget actually reached. LinkedIn's demographics report does. 3 scenarios1 skill
- Rule 11Building the account Start Lead Gen Forms early, then narrow them to recent engagers Open the conversion layer as soon as a warm audience can serve, then tighten it to recent engagers. 1 scenario
- Rule 12From signal to sales Report exposure, influence and attribution separately Exposed, influenced and attributed are three different claims. 3 scenarios
- Rule 13From signal to sales Give sales a weekly ranked list of warm accounts, checked against the CRM Hot accounts, ranked, with who engaged and where they sit in the CRM. Never a raw visitor feed. 4 scenarios
- Rule 14Who the budget reaches Grow a signal list by adding signal lists from the same market LinkedIn's audience size guidance fits audiences built from filters. A list built from buying signals starts smaller and grows a different way. 1 scenario
