The rule
Where to move past the default.
The default
LinkedIn recommends several ads per ad set and shifts delivery toward the ads it predicts will perform best.
LinkedIn Campaign Manager
What the Standard adds
Rotate the losers, never the proven winners. A winner keeps running until the data says it's tired.
Why it holds
An ad that has run for a while has collected likes, comments and shares, and that social proof lowers its cost per click. Refreshing everything on a calendar throws that away along with the ads that were actually tired.
When it matters less
Letting LinkedIn favour the strongest ads is the right default. It already moves delivery away from the weak ones, so most weeks there is nothing to change by hand.
Decision triggers
Spot it, then act on it.
| You see | Do this |
|---|---|
| Frequency high, CTR holding | Leave it. Winners keep the social proof they've built. |
| CTR down for one week | Check again next week. |
| Frequency above target, CTR down two to three weeks running | Replace the weakest ads. Keep the winners. |
What experts say
Where people in the field stand on it.
-
Correct. I look for a trend of CTR dropping over several weeks.
Ivars Krutainis Otter -
I look for at least a two-week pattern. Two weeks of the trend going down is when the fatigue trigger should fire. Then I decide whether to pause, based on frequency being high and CTR going down.
Ivan Falco Frontal -
Falling CTR is the best indicator of fatigue in my mind. The frequency number is so opaque (you can't actually tell how often the most active audience members are being reached) that I use it as a precursor clue to what's happening, and then confirm with falling CTR. Sometimes CTR starts to fall even when frequency looks OK.

From signal to sales Weekly
Warm-lead handoff

-
Building the account Daily to monthly
Account audit by cadence
Runs eight account checks on a schedule, so a LinkedIn Ads specialist knows what to fix today, this week and this month.

Who the budget reaches Weekly + monthly
Targeting vs who actually buys

-
Who the budget reaches Every 1 to 2 weeks
Company-level account routing
Shows which companies take most of the impressions, which are underserved, and which to prioritize or move into their own audience.
-
Who the budget reaches Daily, then weekly
LinkedIn fit gate + daily fit check
Grades a prospecting campaign by the companies it actually reached against your ICP, then says pass, run one more week, or rebuild. Runs daily after launch to catch new fails and leaked exclusions.
-
From signal to sales Weekly + monthly
Signal loop
Runs the weekly routine for LinkedIn ads that go only to a list of named target companies, so a person knows which companies to write to this week and why now. It never sends or changes anything.
-
From signal to sales On demand
Turn social signals into pipeline
Turns people who engaged with LinkedIn posts (a competitor’s, a topic’s, or your own company page’s) into two company-level lists: companies for sales review and companies for nurture. It sends nothing and looks no one up.
-
Ads and creative Weekly
Weekly check for conversion campaigns
Judges every Lead Gen Form and Message ad against your goal cost per lead: which ads to pause, which winners to copy into new versions, and what to check when every ad in an ad set is expensive. It gives recommendations to approve and changes nothing.
-
Building the account Once, days 7 to 14
LinkedIn Campaign Early Read
A first read on one LinkedIn campaign 7 to 14 days after launch, before conversions exist: is it delivering as expected, is it reaching the right companies and people, who is engaging with the ads and on your site, and which accounts are worth acting on now. It only recommends and changes nothing.
-
